Save now, cash back, Which sites are really genuine?

Save money is ofcourse a attraction, whats better then spending but saving on it,specially in times of recession.

Thousand of sites are offering Cash backs, Extra discounts , Special offer and all says "Lowest Price guarantee", which one are beneficial?

Great Fun : We were planning a trip back in August 2008 end when while booking out hotel we got, "Sign up now and save more on hotel , renting car and many more" and "$10 Sign-up bonus" and a "30 day free trial".

So we thought of trying, but till 28th Sept 2008 ,we didn't receive the $10 Sign up bonus so I called them and canceled the membership. Here is a TIP When you cancel any membership make it sure you collected the Cancellation Confirmation code or a Membership canceled e-mail or by post.

I forgot about Great Fun as I canceled membership and also had my Cancellation Confirmation number. Around last week of October, I received a post with my $10 check from Great Fun. Thumbs up to Great Fun though I canceled my membership but I received the promised $10.

And since then I have received, if I am not missing any Check, approximately $100, in shape of $10 check ,once a week, twice a week. Then also I say not to join Why? Whats the catch?

On reverse of the Check is a declaration ,different with different check, which says, "By Depositing this Check I agree for a membership of $119.99 / $139.99 / 99.99 to be automatically deducted from my credit card, blah blah"

Once we deposit the check, we receive $10 but depending on the check you deposit the above mentioned charges will be deducted, so you get $10 and loose $119.99 ? Not Fare

This site offers 2% cash back on Credit card purchase but the charges they are taking for giving this 2% is way more.

I did forgot to mention, as I was booking a hotel while I joined Great Fun, I never received the cash back promised only sign up bonus

My Easy Saver : I was shopping yesterday at Oriental Trading while checking out I got a message, $10 off on your next purchase at Oriental Trading, I did click and offer increased from $10 to $15 and it asked me for my email id and zip code, might have mentioned other details which were not very prominently mentioned and I got a message, your membership is confirmed.

I received a confirmation mail today and could find any yearly subscription and monthly subscription details. I logged on to the site and read the FAQ , it says"Membership Term Upon the expiration of any free period, your membership is effective for the period covered by your membership fee payment and continues upon your payment of the (monthly/annual) renewal fee automatically charged to the credit card or other billing source authorized by you. Renewal membership fees are billed conveniently and automatically at the then current rate to the credit card or other billing authorized by you, until you cancel your membership. "

Free period - but didn't mention how long is free period, 30 days, 60 days?

Membership fee- but didn't mention how many $$?

So I called to cancel, I was on hold for 4-5 mins and then agent helped me to cancel the account and when I asked,"I have canceled it, will I be charged for anything", she asked me to hold and some other agent will help me, I was on hold for another 5-6 mins, then a agent told that my membership is canceled and my credit card will incur no charges. I curiously asked what are the charges, she said $1.95 a month.

I was like, only $1.95 and I am already getting $15 off at my Oriental Trading next purchase, let me go for it.

There the balloon busted, she corrected its $14.95 monthly. So to receive $15 off I will be paying $14.95, and so I will be saving 5 cents ! That too only this month, what if I don't purchase any qualifying things next month, my $14.95 will be gone without any more saving.

So again, its not recommended.

Then are there any many other sites which are free to join and provide cash back from many stores like Walmart.com , Reebok.com , Overstock.com, Hotwire.com etc etc. Here are my recommendations
Cash Crate
InboxDollars
SendEarnings
SnapDollars

Not only the above mentioned four sites provide the cash back on online shopping, they also have offers, and mails which help us make a little extra cash. All free to join.Start Now!
